Planning the Perfect Baby Shower

Planning the Perfect Baby Shower

via

A baby shower is something that women love to attend and happens very often. In fact babycenter.com states that almost 4 million babies are born each year in the U.S. That’s plenty of chances for you to attend a baby shower. But what makes a baby shower so popular today is the fact that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, is about to be a mother. We fell in love with her and woke up before the crack of dawn just to see her wedding on 29 April 2011, to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. There has been such an out pour of love over the Duchess and many have thrown lavish baby showers in her honor. What is even more special about the Duchess is that she will give birth with an expected due date of July 13th in the same hospital as Princess Diana. So with all this great news, planning a baby shower to welcome her child and yours is all the more special. With all the excitement, we have provided you a few tips on how to make your baby shower just as special as Kate’s. The main tip to remember is to make your baby shower engaging for your guests. We are sure you have been to plenty of events where you arrive, chat, eat, have a few drinks and then leave. Kind of robotic don’t you think? A baby shower is a time to celebrate and have fun with the expecting mother. So when planning the shower find ways to get everyone engaged and more excited about your new arrival. Below are some photos we have curated from some of our Event Planning friends to demonstrate how to design a great baby shower and get your guests involved. 1. Make sure you spread out food and beverages throughout the space that you are hosting the baby shower. You want things to run smoothly and since most showers are more intimate its ok to have things spread out and simple. 2. Have plenty of comfortable seating that allows everyone to surround the mother. Often times pregnant women do attend other baby showers so sitting on hard chairs isn’t the most gentle way to treat your guests. 3. Print fun creative messages that everyone will get a kick out of. In this example Hostess with the Mostess had a message printed on a plate. 4. Make sure you give more attention to the dessert table than anything else. We love sweets so this is the place to make the best impression and get the ladies talking. 5. There is nothing like funny signs being used throughout your baby shower. Trust us this will be talking points for your guests to engage each other. 6. There are tons of baby games that you can do while at the baby shower. Baby Bingo is one of them so get creative and throw in some prizes for those who win. Again its all about engagement and having fun. So when planning your next baby shower be sure to pay attention to the details, but make it elegant yet simple. Need help in planning your baby shower?
