Morning lovelies!  Today I’m last minute prepping for tomorrow’s event at Morgan Davies Bridal, will you be there?  You can still grab a ticket to join us for a stylish evening of champagne, tapas & Mediterranean inspiration, click here for details.

Back to today’s post, and we’re all coming over all vintage lace and burlap. It’s been a little while since I featured a wedding in this style, and Sandra & Louw’s wedding is a gorgeous combination of romantic vintage and boho details. From tiny flowers in the brides braided hair, to her lace dress, and relaxed reception decor I have a feeling this is a wedding full of details you’re going to love!  All the prettiness was captured by Erna Loock.

Louw and I had been good friends for many years when I decided to spread my wings and work abroad on a cruise ship. I was gone for more than 9 months and kept in touch with very few of my friends, one of them being Louw.  When I returned he was waiting at the airport with my family to welcome me home. I was very surprised but extremely happy to see him! Little did I know that my absence had made his feelings grow to want more than friendship.

I didn’t take him very seriously until Valentine’s day 5 years ago.  He showed how much he cared by treating me to the most romantic and thoughtful days of my life. It started with a delivery of 50 long stem red roses then brunch overlooking the ocean. This was followed by a full body massage at a Day Spa and a trip to the hairdresser for a wash and style. He ended the day with a romantic seafood dinner and dancing. I was captivated

I wore a vintage lace wedding dress by Johan Wolmarans, and my bridesmaids picked their own dresses in teal to match our colours.  The groomsmen wore their own suits with matching succulent boutonnières and ties.

We found most of our inspiration on Pinterest. I loved the pretty boho vintage look, with romantic colours and flowers.  I picked teal as our main colour and used burlap details with pearl, white and sage green.  The flowers were a mix of white tulips, roses, baby’s breath, fynbos and succulents.  Each guest received a jar of jam  or olive tapenade with a personalised “thank you” from the bride and groom.
