A Very Stylish Spanish Soiree

A Very Stylish Spanish Soiree

via

Morning lovely readers!  Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned I’d be lending my styling know-how to a fabulous Spanish-themed evening celebrating the launch of the new Jesùs Peiró 2014 collection at Morgan Davies Bridal?  Well, today I get to share the gorgeous results!

In honour of Jesùs Peiró‘s Spanish heritage, the evening was styled with a touch of Mediterranean romance and sophisticated Spanish style, and even the weather played along with scorching Mediterranean temperatures and gorgeous sunshine all day long.  Alongside wedding press and bloggers, brides-to-be were cooled down with champagne and refreshing drinks, and were treated to a catwalk show filled with stunning contemporary dresses from the new ‘Seams’ collection. I styled two tables, each inspired by a dress from the new collection and collaborated with a fabulous team of wedding professionals on each look.  A special mention to Euphoric Flowers for supplying the stunning arrangements for the tables, and around the boutique.  Some seriously flowery talent going on there!  And thank you also to Anneli Marinovich for popping in on the evening to capture all the pretty in a way only she can!

The first look, ‘Mediterranean Romance’ was inspired by the billowing romance of  Jesùs Peiró‘s ‘4037’.  I mixed rustic textures, using gorgeous wooden platters and linens from Rowen & Wren, terracotta pots and gold urns filled with silvery green succulents and bright orange kumquat topiaries for a stylish contemporary twist. At each place setting potted herbs displayed in linen bags added a heady summery scent all around while test tubes filled with lavender seeds act as a favour, and a pretty reminder to ‘let love grow’, with a little canvas pouch provided for guests to take their keepsakes home.

Lisa from Paperknots created a rustic stationery suite with a glamorous twist, using a Spanish-inspired tile design with hints of lavender on shimmering gold paper.  This was displayed alongside lots of pretty items to bring the theme to life, a rustic wooden ladder from The Wedding of My Dreams and wooden crates add height and interest, while gorgeous bell and bonbon jars proudly display potted succulents, kumquats and figs for a deliciously summery Mediterranean touch.  With linens and lace billowing in soft summer breeze, this theme would be perfectly suited to an outdoor wedding overlooking the beautiful lavender fields of Tuscany.

In stark contrast my ‘Spanish Senorita’ look takes it’s inspiration from Jesùs Peiró‘s stunning gold ‘4084’ dress and it’s striking black sash, this look is all about high octane glamour and a more-is-more approach!

An amazing gold sequin tablecloth creates an immediate impact and a giant gold urn filled with the most unusual of flowers creates a stunning statement!  Bright orange pincushion proteas (my all-time faves!) and gold-sprayed poppy seed heads pop against almost black dahlias and wild grasses.   The black & gold theme continues in the place settings with this STUNNING Christian Lacroix crockery and luxurious gold cutlery contrasted with matt black wine glasses all supplied by Prezola.  Clear dining chairs let the table shine through with no distractions!

The glamorous stationery suite was created by the amazing ladies at Eagle Eyed Bride, with gold lined envelopes and black ribbon details echoing the embellishment on the dress.  Stripy paper straws with Spanish greetings and gold leaf place cards adorn each place setting like precious jewels.  The talking point of the evening was the gorgeously pretty sequin cake, which I painstakingly created using over 2,500 pins and sequins!  Well worth the effort and a super glam addition to any wedding!

Whilst brides admired the settings and played with dresses (so much fun!) our models were preparing to showcase the gorgeous new collection.  Famed for contemporary silhouettes, beautiful fabrics and Spanish-influenced details, I fell in love with practically every dress!  Here’s just a taste of the action!

Hats off to the amazing team from Morgan Davies Bridal and Something Blue PR for organising such an enjoyable and successful event!  I’m pretty sure there are a few more Jesùs Peiró brides out there as a result!
