Today we’re headed to Florida for a double feature! First up, this preppy rehearsal dinner from Melissa Schollaert, and then in a little while an intimate beach wedding from another one of our favorite photographers…

When Kelly and John first met at the University of Notre Dame, they talked about a shared love for Florida’s Gulf Coast. Their first meeting also included joking with each other about how the two could never marry because then Kelly would become Kelly Kelly. Despite that initial conversation, nine years later they tied the knot! They chose the Gasparilla Inn Golf Club gazebo in Boca Grande for the rehearsal dinner, for its open air setting with views of the water, golf course, and sunset.

Seashells and nautical stripes played up the waterfront setting.

Bright pink and peach roses and peonies were a playful contrast to the navy blue linens.

Says the couple, “Throughout the rehearsal dinner, our friends and family toasted us with wonderful heartfelt speeches and an occasional roast. After dinner, all the guests were invited to a welcome party with cocktails and desserts. The evening ended with a surprise firework show that made the rehearsal dinner even more memorable!”
