Happy Monday Dotties! It’s a little bit of a bittersweet week for here at Polka Dot Bride as it’s our lovely intern Natasha’s last week with us! Natasha has been such a wonderful asset to our little team over the past three months and we know she’s going to take flight with her incredible skills!

Monday morning tradition at Polka Dot Bride is to showcase our fabulous members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory. From the most incredible of wedding photographers, the teams of incredible wedding movies, makeup artists and hair stylists who style up a storm, wedding planners who can help bring it together, stationers who have the most beautiful pieces to kick off your celebration and even bands, DJs and performing acts to get your guests dancing!

On thing we’re loving at Polka Dot Bride is the incredible wedding venues that are gracing the pages of our directory -  from theme parks, islands to grand hotels! So I am thrilled to introduce you to today’s Brisbane wedding venue! Niche Event Spaces is a modern, flexible space in Brisbane’s Stones Corner which can accommodate from 220 guests (sit down function) to 350 guests (cocktail function).

There’s a range of packages – all including basics such as AV,  white linens, tea light candles and glass candle centrepieces- the rest? It’s up to you. A blank slate!

We asked Nicole from Niche Event Spaces five questions in five minutes -

What is your favourite after five drink?

To be honest, I love nothing more than a cup of tea on my deck at the end of the day. It’s a special time where I can reflect on my day and catch up with my partner.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Camping! And anywhere secluded amongst the trees.

Favourite restaurant?

La Quinta Mexican in Bulimba is a favourite amongst my friends and I for a good laugh and brilliant meal!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Poached eggs on rye with avocado and roast tomatoes with a huge flat white alongside my partner while we look over the newspaper.

Your favourite wedding story?

Most definitely my younger sister’s wedding. With my wedding styling background, my future brother in law and I surprised my sister with a vintage tea party themed reception inspired by her favourite tale, Alice in Wonderland. She was expecting a simple reception of close family and friends in our parents back yard. Instead we hired a private residence on an acreage and themed it perfectly as well as surprising her with photographers, Feather & Stone.

As her only bridesmaid and with our older brother giving her away, on the beach of our home town of Noosa, the ceremony was so special and full of so much emotion. Her reaction then when she arrived to the reception was unforgettable and most certainly the most emotional and favourite wedding memory I have.
