Happy Monday crafties!  We are starting your week with an awesomely whimsical white wedding infused with loads tradition, color, and hungry caterpillars to get your week going on a super bright note!  Simmie +  Andrew chose the Eric Carle Picture Book Museum as an uber fun backdrop for their big day.  To keep things cheery and fun, without looking too kiddo-ish, they complimented their day with a fantastic lemon-lime color combo that just makes you want to do handstands!  And if that’s not enough to make you pucker up and want to kiss this wedding, then Orchard Cove Photography’s sweetly detailed photos sure will!

 From the Bride:

A wedding is an excuse to throw a big party for all of your family and friends and we wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. From lemonade before the ceremony to a word search in the program and wooden airplanes and lawn games during cocktail hour, I don’t think anyone was bored.  At the heart of it, we had a traditional Jewish ceremony, but put our own flair on each of the elements.

Any bride who turns a wedding as an excuse for a giant craft-stravaganza is my kind of girl.  Nearly every detail from this fete was made by the couple or their friends.  The wicked awesome stationery and the colorful chuppah were handmade by the bride, who also learned to etch glass for the cookie jars.  The groomsmen got some cool gifts with personalized collar stays crafted by a friend who made those and the table number out of sheet metal.  The maids got some sweet swag too- Andrew also helped make them custom wooden cutting boards.  And that hand cut ketubah?!  All of the paper cutting was done by friend- swoon much?!
