Canadian Mountain Elopement: Adina + Lukasz

Canadian Mountain Elopement: Adina + Lukasz

via

Adina + Lukasz’s lovely Canadian mountain elopement was truly simplicity at its finest and nothing short of beautiful. Since the idea of planning a big, traditional wedding stressed both of them out big time, they decided to instead make the day 100% about them and their love with a laid-back ceremony. For those of you considering an elopement, this may just convince you it’s a great idea: with the money Adina + Lukasz saved by choosing an elopement over a wedding, they were able to take an entire month to slowly travel the country on the road trip of a lifetime. Sounds pretty amazing, right?! Here’s a bit more about the day from their talented photographer, Brittany Esther:

I so adore when couples exchange their vows just the way they want, with no pressures from family or friends or society. Adina and Lukasz did just that. What started out as a planned road trip to Alaska became their elopement. They packed up their camping supplies and their dog Major, and started their trek west from their hometown of Toronto. They read each other their vows beside a small creek busily making its way to the Kicking Horse River. It was simple and lovely.

From the bride, It’s so important to pick an awesome photographer! We both were so happy with our wedding photos and the fact that Brittany captured special little moments + details. It meant a lot. We are so happy we have these photos to treasure forever.

Adina wore a custom Wai Ching dress, her grandmother’s jewelry, and handmade moccasins to honor her native heritage…

After a few more portraits in the woods, it was time for a very unique “ring exchange.” Since both Adina’s + Lukasz’s jobs involve a lot of hand work + would require them removing their wedding bands constantly, they chose to have each others’ initials tattooed onto their left ring finger. Super sweet, right?!

Choose a place that has a package. We booked an elopement package at a lodge which included everything from an officiant to chocolate covered strawberries and even a doggy bed for our best man! It was nice to have all the little details covered in one place and made our wedding stress free.
