Say I MOO to a Farm Wedding

Say I MOO to a Farm Wedding

Would you ever imagine a farm being the place where couples tie the knot? Well believe it as there is a rise in couples using farms to host their weddings.  When I think of a farm I see cows, pigs and that awful smell. That alone might steer many away from having a farm wedding. But I would also say hold your horses. Look at what you receive in using a farm as a venue. It’s what is called “rustic elegance” found in a farm. Just think about it with me. Beautiful lands with breathtaking backdrops makes for quite the venue for a wedding. If you dont believe me see Kelly Clarkson‘s wedding at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee. The video may make you have a change in heart with these beautiful scenes.

What is driving the rise of a farm wedding? Lower priced venue, celebrities, Pinterest, the outdoors, and a more intimate setting, I’d imagine. What’s even more appealing is the ability to have narturally grown food at your wedding. Dairy farms offer amazing cheese, salad and fresh produce to serve during the reception. Just imagine a wide open space with no noise, no outsiders, just you with close family and friends. We found a few farms near DC that are now available to you for rental. 1. River Farm 2. Sperryville Farm 3. Leesburg Farm 4. Farhill Farm Want the outdoor setting but not actually at a farm? Try a resort such as Salamander Resort + Spa and make it into a weekend wedding retreat. Here are some great photos of how beautiful a farm wedding can be from Rustic Wedding Chic. Would you be open to having your wedding on a farm or is this not an option? Hope you enjoy.
