Spells and Charms ✈ Halloween Wedding Inspiration

Happy Halloween folks! I have to say, I’m lacking in Halloween spirit today as this week I am in Cairns in Australia and well, the weather has me all confused. The typical Halloween palette of blacks and oranges isn’t quite working for me this week given that I’m blinded by yellows, blues, sand, sea and palm trees! So, I hope you can forgive us, but today we are sharing our Halloween palette from last year because well, I just couldn’t come up with anything better. Not where I am right now. Besides, I absolutely love this palette and even if I was sitting cosy by a blazing fire, I don’t think I’d have come up with anything that I liked more than this one! I remember last year wanting to stay away from the ghosts, goblins or the orange hues because well, I just don’t like them.  Instead I focused on other things I associate with Halloween like poisonous apples, potions and apothecary bottles, black lace cobwebs, evil queens and their beautiful crowns, old locked leather spell books and love charms. The colours that inspired me were hazy greys, sage and bottle greens paired with jet black and hints of reds and pinks with gold around the edges and even now, I love wild floral arrangements. Paired with apples alongside beautiful bottles I think these florals would make ideal wedding centrepieces. Elderberry and honey potions would make quite unique Halloween signature cocktails!
