Magical Irish Woodland Wedding ✈ Styled Shoot with White Cat Studio

via

We’re delighted to share this beautiful styled shoot with you today captured by White Cat Studio and an excellent team of Irish vendors. The shoot is based on the mythical legends and folklore of Ireland, and suitably enough with the release of the second ‘Hobbit’ film tomorrow, it even has an elf! The setting is the beautiful and magical deep forest of Gougane Barra in county Cork with an abundance of greenery between the lush setting and in the ferns, moss and leaves used. We love the bridal nest bouquet created by Wild.ie, a lovely arrangement of twigs, bright red berries, lavender, white ranunculus and pheasant feathers. How beautiful is the deft Andrea Murphy‘s workings of gold leaf eye shadow on the elf? More details below after these enchanting images.

We are especially in love with the cake creations by The Swell Bakeshop that look so at home in this forest setting. The overall styling by Natasha Crowley from Fashion Stylists is divine with brass candlesticks, bells, old glass bottles (such as you might actually find in an Irish forest amidst old cottage ruins!) and even the memento mori of the sheep’s skull adding a touch of gravity and a further reminder of nature. Miss Daisy Blue‘s outfit for the elf and short vintage dress for the bride are just perfection. Egle of White Cat Studio has a few words on the shoot:

“We had great fun shooting this project in this fantastic location with a very creative team. All the vendors involved in this are well establish suppliers in the Irish wedding industry, and Ireland appeals to many as a wedding destination because of its stunning scenery, mythical legends, Celtic themes and folklore. The new generation of Irish seem to want something more daring when it comes to their big day, and our aim was to push the boundaries for what is possible with regard to wedding styling. The addition of a mischievous elf was our way of incorporating a little touch of playful Irish humor. “Think outside the box” would be our slogan for the shoot!”

Thanks so much to Egle for sharing these images with us, and to all the talented vendors involved who made the shoot work so well. We have shared their work here before and will again so stay tuned!
