Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue: This easy-to-remember phrase is just one of the many wedding traditions that people across the country have grown accustomed to. Across the world, some wedding traditions look much different than they do here in New Jersey. In Italy, grooms are expected to carry a small piece of iron in their pockets to ward off evil spirits. In India, couples exchange rings during a pre-wedding engagement party instead of during the wedding ceremony. In Jamaica, the wedding venue is often the groom's house instead of a banquet hall.
