Style Unveiled, as hard as we try, knows that sometimes it takes a woman who's walking in your same 'heels' to help with something like planning a day as big as a wedding. And while we will always be here to help with inspirational photos, real weddings, vendor suggestions, wedding cake inspiration, engagement photo ideas, and more ... we want to bring you something priceless ... Advice from brides who are doing the same as you (right now!!) ... PLANNING THEIR WEDDING :) The Style Unveiled blog addition, Bride in the City gives you inside info from other brides to help you along the way and make you feel like you're not the only one :) So ... get ready to bond with Bride in the City guest: Stefany Allongo

When I was in middle school, my favorite animal was a sloth. For some reason I had my heart set that it was the best animal in the whole wide world ... so I got really excited when I read that Stefany will get to have her photo snapped on her wedding day with a sloth!!! Might be the best thing ever. Stefany is a rockstar wedding coordinator in Miami Florida and she's also a planning bride!!!! Enjoy!

XO~ Heather

When is the big day?

What was your engagement shoot like? What was it like working with your photographer?

Tony and I are a testament that long distance relationships can work. The romance of a mutual friend's wedding served as the backdrop for our meeting. We met during the cocktail hour and spent the rest of the weekend just getting to know each other. At the end of the weekend as I drove him to the airport to say our goodbyes, we realized that this was something special and we should see where it goes. Fast forward 2 and a half years and countless trips to the airport later, we have made the long distance work. I've been in West Palm Beach and he has been in Milwaukee. It hasn't been easy, but it's been worth it!

As an ode to our long distance, we decided to have hints of a travel theme throughout our session (giant foam airplane, paper airplanes, cut-out of our home states). From that first weekend together, we have had our most memorable moments on the beach or in the woods. So the locations pay homage to those memories.

Robert of Robert Madrid Photography was a dream to work with. We've been friends since high school; however, he met my fiance for the first time at our engagement session. They clicked instantly! Robert made us feel super relaxed by encouraging us to be ourselves. Between crashing airplanes, silly faces and killer mosquitoes, we spent the entire afternoon laughing. Robert was truly able to capture our fun and playfulness. I couldn't be happier!

What is your venue and why did you choose it?

Tony and I both love animals and visiting the zoo. Every time we visit a new city together, we make it point to visit their local zoo. Naturally, we decided to have our wedding at the Palm Beach Zoo. It's the perfect blend of fun and elegance!

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?

I'm excited to marry the love of my life on !! Both his parents and my parents got married on and have been married 38 years and 33 years, respectively. It's going to be amazing to share that day with 2 of the best examples of successful marriages we have.

Also, the zoo is providing animal encounters during the cocktail hour and I'm excited to take my photo with the sloth.

Is there anything that makes you nervous about the day of the wedding?

That it's going to go by too fast.

What is your best advice to brides who are currently planning their wedding?

Definitely hire a wedding planner. They will help you create the perfect day, while you can focus on creating the perfect marriage. In the end, the most important thing is that you get to marry the love of your life. So go with the flow!

You are working with a wedding coordinator! Great idea! Tell me about that experience!

As a wedding planner myself, of course I'm hiring a coordinator! It is essential that the bride and her family get to relax on the big day. I'm no different. I'll be handing over the reigns to a coordinator friend of mine a month before the wedding and won't be looking back. My focus is to have fun and not to worry!

How has your fiance been involved in the wedding planning process?

Since Tony is so far away, I try to keep him in the loop as much as possible. He has opinions on the wedding details and I love to hear them. Every time he visits we do some wedding tasks. Last time he was in Florida, we tasted our wedding menu, stuffed wedding invitations and visited the venue.

What are your honeymoon plans?

We have decided to go with a Sandals honeymoon in St. Lucia. It's the only island in the Caribbean with a volcano on it!

What are 3 words to describe how you are feeling right now?

Elated, loved and blessed.
