Hope you all had a good weekend.
We are treating you with two Independent Love Songs today because we're nice like that you see! The first is chosen by Ashley and Peter whose 'riot of colour' real wedding we featured last week. The second will be from the AMAZING real wedding we will be posting on our festival pages later on today. I am so excited about sharing this wedding with you! It is festival boho heaven and you are all going to love it. FACT.
But first I am going to hand you over to the lovely Ashley and Peter who chose an equally lovely song for their first dance.
"We chose One Day like this by Elbow. We just both love it. We had a couple of dancing lessons so that we weren't just swaying around the dance floor but it all went out the window on the day and we just made it up!"This song has become a bit of a classic on the wedding circuit since it's release and if you listen to the lyrics you can understand why. It also reminds me of the epic 2009 BBC Children in Need Medley put together by Peter Kay with Bob The Builder and friends. This song along with Hey Jude by the Beatles, Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac and many other classic tunes featured in the medley. Anyone else remember it? It was genius!
