CHECK. OUT. THAT. DRESS....

Jen and Adam Chose a glamorous and elegant venue for their beautiful outdoor wedding with a timeless white colour scheme. Besides the amazing blue gown we also have home made stationery, delicious macarons created by Anges de Sucre in place of a traditional wedding cake and beautiful images captured by Photography by Anneli Marinovich.

Jen The Bride: Sanctum on the Green was the elegant, glamorous venue Adam and I were looking for. The venue's grounds are beautiful and it was lovely to be able to have the Ceremony and Reception at the same venue. Sanctum on the Green provided all this and on top of that the Events Manager, Kate is brilliant.

A glam natural look was my choice for my make-up as I knew my dress had all the necessary wow factor. I was really struggling with a look for my hair as I knew in my head what I wanted but couldn't describe it. Then luckily for me the Oscars happened and Naomi Watts had the perfect structured mess that I was looking for. My hair and make-up artist Jo Penford did a dream job. I absolutely loved my look finished off with my "something borrowed" hairband from a close friend.

I always knew I'd never get married in a traditional wedding dress, so it was just natural to take the custom route. I came across a picture of a J Mendel dress I loved. Armed with said picture I went to meet my dress designer for the first time. I absolutely loved the experience of having my dress made especially for me. Alida is a (very patient) design genius and there wasn't one visit that we didn't change something. Needless to say it looks nothing like the original picture but 100% the way I wanted it to.

Our wedding day was also the birthday of my beloved granny who's not with us anymore and I wore her beautiful antique silver filigree necklace and bracelet "something old" which complimented my "something blue" dress perfectly. Accessorised with my "something new" Jimmy Choo shoes it was all a match made in heaven.

My three Brides Mates wore grey suits from Charles Tyrwhitt with light blue shirts and matching ties. Adam's Best Woman wore a beautiful teal Two Birds bridesmaid dress which she could tie into different styles as she wished on the day and his ushers wore light grey suits also from Charles Tyrwhitt.

My brief to Nikki & Christopher at Fleurs de la Maison was a loose, dreamy, bouquet with coral and white to compliment my blue wedding dress. They were so brilliant and conjured up my gorgeous bouquet with David Austin's Juliet roses, white Ranunculas and eucalyptus for greenery. T

Our big aim for the day was to just have one big party with everyone we love and adore and I'm happy to report our wishes were granted. The knowledgeable Alex and Wayne at Park Vintners in Wimbledon Park did a blind tasting for us with wines and bubbly paired to our menu. I couldn't recommend it enough and the choices we made complimented our menu designed by Luke Thomas at Sanctum on the Green - a menu of potted seafood for our "intro", roasted fillet of British white beef for "the feast" and as "the best part" was vanilla crème Brûlée with raspberry compote and sorbet.

The amazing Reshmi at Anges de Sucre made vanilla, rose pistachio and bespoke elderflower macarons for us which were displayed in a tower and in large glass champagne coupes.

On the day of you will feel an indescribable joy; revel in it and celebrate! Don't let negative people or small details bring you down, you can't keep everyone happy. Your wedding day will be magical simply because you are committing your life to someone you love. Enjoy the ride!

I cannot recommend our photographer Anneli Marinovich enough. She turned up on the day, I barely knew she was there (in a good way); I didn't have to tell her what I wanted she just used her creative initiative and the end results were just amazing. We've had so many compliments. Book her!
