I can. And I will.

I can. And I will.

I remember it clearly, I was sat on the edge of the most beautiful infinity pool on mini-moon in Mykonos and I just thought, you know what? I'm going to give it a go, why the hell not - what's the worst that can happen?

What I was thinking about at the time was the creation of a UK specific wedding blog, I had used various American sites for inspiration in the run up to my May 2009 big day and couldn't understand why there wasn't anything similar for us (equally as style savvy and creative) British brides.

I wanted to know who the best industry suppliers were in the country I was getting married, I wanted to see other elegant and personalised real weddings every day, I wanted one place where I could see the latest W-day fashion, D.I.Y ideas, planning tips and learn from other newly married folks experience.

I figured it would be a lot of work to put something like what I had in mind together but by no means impossible. And if I was just going to start small (VERY small) as simply a creative diversion from my manic and often all consuming day job with little initial financial investment then I didn't have anything to lose.

Has Rock My Wedding exceeded all of my expectations? Yes. Has there ever been times when I have wanted to throw in the towel, work a regular 9-5 and have my "life" back? No actually. Although there have certainly been occasions where I have thought it would be nice to have a break from it all for a bit. There have been times when I've missed my family and friends like you wouldn't believe.

I think I speak for all business owners when I say that although you may be lucky enough to essentially be fulfilling your career dreams, the privilege doesn't come without sacrifice and several set backs. But you do learn from your mistakes and it does get easier. Promise.

And now onto the next big on-line adventure or as Adam said to me in the office last week "The most important thing we've done since launching Rock My Wedding in the first place" (I felt equally excited, equally like I might pass out/throw up at his conclusion.)

The creation of Rock My Style has been a labour of love for Adam and I for the past six months, and we're lucky enough to have met a whole host of talented and amazing people over the years of building the Rock My brand which means we were able to beg, borrow and steal their skills for this new project.

I am also lucky enough to have such a great team behind me for this growing W-day space. Lolly is more than capable of managing the show, especially with her team members Fern and Becky, which means that I can make contributions to both RMW and Rock My Style whilst working on expanding and building the brand without feeling as though I don't know my backside from my elbow (Happens.)

More on the developmental updates and general evolution of Rock My Wedding coming soon lovelies.

For now though I would be ever so grateful if you would have a butchers at Rock My Style and tell us what you think - either on this post or anywhere on the new site. Your feedback is the only way we have the first clue about whether we're doing things right.

I guess that leaves me to say what I said right at the beginning of this post, work hard, dream big, believe anything is possible.

What's the worst that can happen? well, failure I guess. And nothing is a failure that you have put your heart and soul into but for whatever reason, just didn't work out. At least you had the balls to give it a go.

And as for anything or anyone that tries to stand in your way?

Tell them bollocks. You can. And you will.

Big Every New Day Brings Infinite Possibilities Love
