Elegant vintage bridal inspiration

This week has been one of planning and excitement and I'm so excited for the weekend as I get to see my best friends newborn baby for the first time! Little Charlie was born on Wednesday and he needs my honorary Aunty cuddles. We've also bought our first home this week after a long time of saving so if you follow me on Pinterest you may see some home related prettiness! We're finishing off the week this week with an soft feminine vintage bridal inspiration shoot from Michael & Carina Photography ...

From Michael and Carina: " We shot these styled bridal portraits by the oldest house in Virginia Beach at sunset (mainly) on medium format film (Fuji 400H) and developed by Indie Film Lab. This time of year weddings slow down and a lot of brides are looking for the perfect dress. In the US, at least in Virginia, it's customary for brides to have their portraits taken from midwinter to spring for their summer weddings. We love it as it gives us a chance to get to know the bride and capture introspective, natural portraits as she prepares to take the biggest step of her life - all without the stress of the wedding day. Annika's dress is a gorgeous vintage piece from Emmeline of Shop Gossamer, a vintage dress collector and boutique based out of Northern Virginia. The dress is a late 1960s, empire cut gown with lace applique embroidery and an ivory/buttercream color. Theresa Little's makeup accentuated the models lovely pale features by just a pop of color on her lips and contrast in her eyes. This was an all film shoot photographed at one of the oldest houses in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Lynnhaven House."
