5 Pantone Spring Shades to Rival Radiant Orchid

5 Pantone Spring Shades to Rival Radiant Orchid

via

In true Pantone 2014 Color of the Year form, Radiant Orchid has swooped in and hogged the spotlight. From home décor to hair color, we've seen the flowery blend of fuchsia and purple pop up just about everywhere-including our martini glass (and yes, it was delicious). Don't get us wrong; we love a Radiant Orchid mani as much as the next girl, but there are a few other hues from Pantone's Color Report Spring 2014 that deserve some recognition and wear time. Watch out, Radiant Orchid, because Dazzling Blue, Celosia Orange, Violet Tulip, Hemlock and Placid Blue are coming for you.

Dazzling Blue

Blue eyeliner is making a big comeback this year (then again, did it ever really leave?). Go graphic with your winged eyeliner and opt for a Dazzling Blue hue like , Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Cobalt or .

Celosia Orange

Orange lipstick seems to surface every spring. If you haven't tried the trend yet, now is the time. Look for a bright Celosia Orange like , Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Clementine or .

Violet Tulip, Hemlock and Placid Blue

Pastel shadows have a fresh spring feel and their muted tones make them totally wearable-even in February, despite spring's actual arrival being months away. All you need is a light wash across the lid. Take a break from Radiant Orchid and go with a Violet Tulip tint like . Make it minty with BareMinerals Eyecolor in Bamboo. Or stick with a soft Placid Blue like .
