Sarah and Kyle met in a coffee shop in Kingston, Ontario while they were both going to Queen's University. Sarah was just finishing her MBA while Kyle was finishing his engineering degree and applying to do an MBA. The dean put Kyle in touch with Sarah to learn more about the MBA program - little did they know that she was using her matchmaking skills. The pair met up to talk shop and the rest is history.

For their big day the couple hosted a celebration filled with twinkle lights, feathers, fur, and black and white Damask with hot pink as the accent colour. They also paid tribute to the place they first met by having their first dance to the song "Coffee Shop" and giving out DIY chocolate-covered coffee bean favours to their guests.

"All the DIY décor and accessories added a personal touch to our wedding," Sarah explains. From the ostrich feather centrepieces and fascinators to the scrabble initial cufflinks for groomsmen, and the photo booth with feather-themed props, this celebration was filled with whimsical handmade accents. Even the couple's sweet table was filled with homemade treats - a selection of favourites both mothers had made for their kids growing up.
