Snow White Wedding in Florida | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

For Cathee and Mike it was love at first sight, and their story of their love is just the sweetest. They had a Snow White theme for their day which represented them and their Disney proposal perfectly.

There were pastel bridesmaid dresses, sweet signs and woodland touches to their décor. So lovely.

Thanks so much to Stephie Joy Photography for sharing her photographs with us this morning.

Once upon a time......a friend of mine mentioned that she might have someone I just might hit it off with. As much as I appreciated the gesture, the last thing I needed was a set up. She said she had shown him my photo, and that he "just had to meet me". I reluctantly agreed to a conversation before I committed to a date. We connected and exchanged a few messages, in which I asked him every question in the book, desperately trying to discredit him as a potential match and saving myself from that awkward first date that would essentially lead to nowhere. To my surprise, he managed to answer every question perfectly with flying colors and I agreed to a meeting (still not a date....not quite yet).

I invited him over for a very quick introduction in person. And just like that, the second I opened the door and saw him, I knew. It was just like I had always imagined meeting my true love would be. The door opened in slow motion and music started playing, there was a sparkle in his smile, roses bloomed and doves flew all in that very moment. I knew exactly what all those fairytales were talking about because I was suddenly in one. We talked, we laughed, we smiled, and I said yes to a first date. And that first date was the day we told each other that this was it, and we would be together for the rest of our lives. It was real life, true story love at first sight.

Eight months later Mike proposed to me. But this wasn't just any proposal. He took me to my favorite place in the world, Disney World. After all, it is where all your dreams come true, a world full of magic and princesses and anything is possible. What I thought was just a normal day with my family turned into the single-most romantic moment I have ever witnessed. I walked up to a group of dancers performing to Bruno Mars "Just the way you are". And then the most amazing thing happened. My friends and family appeared out of nowhere and joined in on the dance, and it hit me. I was being flash mobbed!!!! Soon after, I saw my Prince down on one knee in front of a few hundred people, asking me the question I had been waiting for since the day we met. And in his hand was the most gorgeous, glittering and stunning Henri Daussi ring from Underwoods Jewelers.

There was no question that our wedding would be Snow White inspired. Our favorite date always consisted of a glass of wine, cooking dinner together and watching our favorite show Once Upon a Time. I had dreamed of a Disney wedding since I was a little girl. He calls me "Snow" after Snow White's black hair, and I called him "Charming" for being just so darn chivalrous and princey all the time. The style would be Woodsy Fairytale, all of the charm and style of a princess with an enchanted forest feel.

The venue was the White Room Rooftop and Loft. A secret garden style rooftop with wrought iron and vintage lamp posts, topiaries and climbing rose lattices and a sky full of twinkling stars as far as the eye can see. The dress was the shimmering Snow White ball gown from the Disney Fairytale Bridal collection by Alfred Angelo. The beautiful bridesmaids wore gorgeous flowing gowns in 6 dreamy colors from The Bridal Shop at the Avenues. The handsome Prince and his seven "dwarfs" looked classic in Vera Wang tuxes from Men's Warehouse. The shoes, of course...let's not forget those shoes! I wore the signature colors of Snow White (red, blue and yellow) studded in crystals by my favorite shoe obsession, Gianni Bini.

We married under a beautiful iron arch we found at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina where we took our first trip together. The vine and bird accents throughout the iron were a perfect fit for our romantic and woodsy style. Karin at 57 Treasury was brilliant in taking my imagination and creating the perfect atmosphere using breathtaking roses and peonies, bright red apples, curly willow branches with the slightest hints of gold and wispy vines with lanterns and candles. The bridal party bouquets were a single red rose surrounded by fluffy white baby's breath, resembling how Snow White was named in the storybooks. The cupcake table was filled with sinfully delicious mini cupcakes from Sweet by Holly.

Several of the little details were the product of me and my amazingly talented DIY dream team. From vintage pins for the boutonnieres, table assignments made with twigs and named after woodland animals to red candy apple favors, custom toasting glasses and wooden signs. The guestbook was a canvas print of the Prince carrying Snow White, surrounded by signatures and beautiful words from our loved ones.

Stephanie from Stephie Joy Photography captured the excitement, surprise and joy of my incredible flash mob proposal, as well as our magical wedding day. She took time to get to know us and believe in our dream, and we have our special (and fun) moments captured with the artistic and creative talent she is well known for.

After a truly unforgettable night, a sparkler exit lit our way into a life of love, laughter and Happily Ever After....
