Vintage Mint and Silk Chiffon, a Worldly Wedding Inspiration Board

Hooray for the weekend!

Two whole days of long lazy brunches, reading the papers, and chilling out. (And probably some catching up with the laundry, running lots of errands, and fitting in a little wedding planning too!)

Well, let us make it a bit easier with a quick re-cap of the last few days of musings. This week saw us introduce our brand new cake columnist, delve into the unchartered territories of orange lipstick, and have our very own (very pretty) garter named after us.

Our real couples this week took us on a bit of a North American, coast to coast road trip, from weddings in Nova Scotia and Colorado to a gorgeous meadow engagement shoot in Northern California.

Then of course, we nipped to Qatar, for a real life royal wedding. It's like someone saw inside our rose-tinted dreams and brought them to life. Extravagant, palatial, and sweet, we just can't stop looking at it.

And our final favourite, this gorgeous floral-doused, romantic shoot from Her Lovely Heart. Our Instagram followers couldn't get enough of these wonderful, whimsical images.

And for one final slice of gorgeousness to finish out the week, we'll hand you over to the ever-inspired Rose, creator of stunning stationary Rose and Ruby Paper Co. who takes us around the world and back again with four dreamy hues...

Globe Blue, Silk Chiffon and Vintage Mint Inspiration Board

Globes are beautiful and such a lovely theme for a wedding, particularly for a transatlantic couple or glamorous globetrotters.

To Recreate:

Globes themselves often allude to the most beautiful tones, soft blues and greens with pretty yellowy tones. Run with these and carry through into florals and accessories. Vintage minty greens look beautiful for bridesmaids.
Incorporate globes themselves into your decorations. They make fab table centres, name card holders, and the most wonderful guest books if you get your guests to write directly onto the globes.
Map artwork makes a beautiful base for invitations and stationery and is a lovely way of telling your story.
Succulents are gorgeous with globes, alone or mixed with in with your florals and look fab teamed with eclectic vintage glass bottles and jars in map inspired shades.

We just adore these colour combinations, and the idea of couples with a case of wanderlust incorporating maps and globes into their big day.
