Amongst the warmth and beauty of late summer, Dale and Tim said "I do" in Colorado Wine Country, Grand Junction. A peach color palette was perfect for the season. Gorgeous florals from 3 Leaf Floral, a lovely reception area at Canyon View Vineyard, and a lot of DIY work from the bride, ensured that the day was a success from start to finish.

Dale is a graphic designer who designed all of the beautiful printed materials and lettering for signage for the wedding. Tim is a pastor at the church where they were married. He is a singer/songwriter, and wrote and played a special song for Dale at the ceremony.

From the Bride:
One thing I would have changed would be to have my photographer snap some photos of my reception space before the sun went down! I worked hard to make the tables and decor beautiful, and I wish the photos I had of it were in the daylight.

I think you'll be surprised at what I ended up spending on my wedding... As a graphic designer I was able to trade my skills for goods & services for my wedding.

Venue- free (my husband works at the beautiful church we got married in)
Flowers- $1,500
Decor- $500
Food- $350 (We purchased everything from a local grocery store and had willing friends & family ready to prep and man the grills. This gave us a very affordable way to feed our guests a delicious meal without paying for a caterer)
Photobooth- $500
Tablecloths, plates, napkins- $200
Cupcakes & small cake to cut- $100 (We had a talented friend who hooked us up :)

I was pleased with our end total. I wanted to have a beautiful wedding, but didn't want to pay the price that the wedding industry often demands. I found creative ways to include what I wanted and not break the bank.
