The Perfect Mascara for Every Lash Dilemma

The Perfect Mascara for Every Lash Dilemma

via

On your wedding day (and all of those pre-wedding events), your mascara is important. The last thing you want is raccoon eyes after a particularly moving toast or to look tired in your engagement photos. The right mascara can accentuate your eyes, brighten them, and keep you looking refreshed! Here are our 10 favorite mascaras for lash dilemmas.

Waterproof is Necessary

For some of us, it seems like we are constantly tearing up. Whether we are laughing way too hard with our friends or watching one of those ASPCA commercials with the Sarah McLachlan song, some of us just cry more than others. This also applies to our friends with allergies (and as spring is here, suffering from a bad case of the weepies). Waterproof mascaras ensure that you can look great, sneeze after sneeze. We recommend Lancome's Definicils Waterproof for a more natural look, and L'Oreal's Waterproof Voluminous Million Lashe s for a more dramatic effect.

You need a pick-me-up

Eye-brightening mascaras are a busy gal's best friend. By using different moisturizing formulas and pigments, these babies bring out the whites of your eyes, instantly making you look more rested. Our favorites are Smashbox's Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara and Origin's GinZing Mascara.

Sparse Lashes

You aren't alone. Most women believe that when it comes to lashes, "less is more" does not apply. Although just how much "more" you want on your lashes might be up for debate. If you want natural-looking volume, we love Mally's Volumizing Mascara (and the black shade is fantastic) and Cover Girl's Lash Blast. If you want to go big or go home, try Benefit's They're Real! Mascara or DiorShow's Extase Mascara. Both will deliver the high drama look you are craving.

Short Lashes

If your lashes are dense, but a little on the short side, you should try a lengthening mascara. An affordable option is Maybelline's Illegal Lengths. And if you want to splurge try Laura Mercier's Long Lash Mascara. Both will help open your eyes by extending your lashes out.
