Today on Wedding Friends we are sharing a very special and inspiring story. One that will touch your heart and speak to your soul. The wedding of Jeane and Jack was captured in a very special and spectacular way by the amazing team from The Creative Emporium. They captured the day beautifully and created everlasting memories. The wedding was held at the cultural Market on Main in the Maboneng district. The team of The Creative Emporium is sharing their experience with us.

When Jeanie contacted us to capture their special day she asked us if we where willing to shoot a wedding without any frills. "It will simply be an intimate urban wedding, sans the 'Tant-koek-se-hoender-haan'-Afrikaans traditions", she said.

Their wedding was simply beautiful, warm and heartfelt. Even though it was one of the coldest days of the year. We felt the closeness and love of their friends and family right through the day and count ourselves lucky to have been able to share this glorious day with them. It was a celebration of love true to the couple's love for Johannesburg. They wanted their guests to feel as if they where in their home, with good food, music and wine. And looking back they both feel that it is a journey that neither of them will change even though it was the scariest and most impossible journey they could imagine. For them it was exhilarating to finally marry and are grateful to start a life together with Jeanie being healthy again.

I Propose | Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

Hmm...We met at Cantina Tequila Linden, but we only got together about 2 years later...and as they say, the rest is history!

Bride & Prejudice | Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

We once went to Mozambique during December, we didn't even book or anything! Talk about your spontaneous, romantic getaway! After some unfortunate events we finally got a place to stay for a short while, but had to go back to Sodwana, where we didn't book anything either! We ended up camping under someone's washing line. It was the best holiday, too much fun! We try to plan things better now. Sometimes we get it right!

My Fair Wedding | Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

It was cold ... Like really, really cold! But despite the less than ideal weather it was a day filled with love, joy, friends and family. It was a perfect celebration!

Don't Tell The Bride | Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

One thing that we could not control on the day was that the reception was supposed to be held in the courtyard at the Canteen, but because it was freezing, they moved the whole wedding inside the restaurant!!! Which was quite ironic as the whole reason for choosing this venue was this vision we had of two long tables under the olive trees ...
