Wedding Venues in Catalonia

Wedding Venues in Catalonia

via

In a few weeks time, I'll probably start sharing my own wedding planning stories with you all as we have officially decided to go abroad.. em.. surprise surprise! More on that another day! So, a few weeks back I booked flights to Italy to check out a few wedding venues for myself and Mike and when that was done, I began researching for todays post. I immediately regretted being so hasty in my Ryanair purchase because I realised I had given little, actually, no thought whatsoever to having a wedding anywhere else. Like Spain. There were a few things on our criteria, the most important being that the wedding would take place all in one go ie, our church ceremony would be legally binding and I suppose, that's why Italy was always on our mind. I had forgotten about Spain in that the same holds true for a Catholic celebration. If we don't find what we are looking for in Italy, Spain will definitely be next on our list and in particular, these three wedding venues in Catalonia.

Castell d'Emporda

Set amongst 30 acres of oak trees and olive groves, you'll be hard pushed to find a venue that marries old world charm with plush, modern and contemporary comforts so beautifully. Renovated in 2001, the passion that has gone into the restoration of this charming hilltop castle outside of La Bisbal can be seen all around and close attention has been paid to ensuring that the level of service, the quality of food and guest comfort in general goes above and beyond. With 38 rooms available for exclusive hire, this wedding venue is suitable for those who perhaps have a higher budget to spend on their wedding abroad, a love of good food and breathtaking views.

Hotel Del Teatre

If small, intimate and quaint is what you are seeking, then Hotel Del Teatre might be just the wedding venue in Catalonia for you. In the heart of the Costa Brava between Pals and Begur you will find the medieval town of Regencos. Nine rooms and two apartments are split between two different properties side by side that together, make up Hotel del Teatre. The venue can cater for weddings up to 85 people for a sit down dinner and can be hired exclusively - a huge plus when planning an intimate gathering away from home.

With the potential to host events of up to 400 people, La Baronia are no strangers to planning and organising weddings. Located only a short distance from the city of Barcelona, it's an ideal choice for the couple hoping to let their guests experience one of Spain's greatest bustling cities before wowing them with the idyllic countryside the country also has to offer . Indeed, one of the main highlights here is the sweeping view over Sant Feliu de Codines and on to Barcelona, a perfect backdrop to an unforgettable wedding in Spain.

Now can you see why I'm so upset with myself? We will have plenty more to share with you on Spain and this region again as there is just so much to chose from! For today though, we will leave you swooning and daydreaming over those precious views.
