Beautiful Delft Blue Wedding Ideas | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

I do so love seeing the vision of creative wedding suppliers come to life.

When Renza from Delicieux Cakes got in touch to share this shoot she coordinated and styled I was super excited. Inspired by Delft blue crockery and Dutch culture, there was a simple fresh blue and white colour scheme.

With lush florals and an incredible dessert table; there are so many fantastic ideas for you lovelies. Be sure to check out the behind the scenes film too ( http://player.vimeo.com/video/92974178).

Thanks so so much to Real Simple Photography for allowing me to share these images today, here is what Renza had to say about the shoot;

"My inspirations for this shoot were tulips, Delft blue crockery, windmills and bicycles, and last but not least, my Dutch husband, Marco.A modern, yet slightly rustic take on the traditional white and blue colour theme.For starters, I loved the modern clean feel of photographer Jacques Lloyd's work. Talented Jacques and his lovely wife Natalie work as an efficient team capturing events documentary style combined with a delicate touch of creativity.After a meeting with Dora Kovacs, the floral designer, we both felt the flowers should be white with a touch of blue and green; a collection of tulips, peonies, Dutch irises and delphiniums. Dora did her magic creating a range of bouquets ranging from minimalist monochrome tulip arrangements to large luxurious bouquets. See the funky buttonhole for Corne, the groom and the colourful arrangement at the back of the bicycle.Little Posy Print Company Co was the perfect choice for stationery; quirky stationery in blue and white to match the Delft Blue theme, all hand designed by Claire. We felt that antlers would be the perfect way to offset the stationery.The majestic wedding dress made from luxurious silk jacquard was designed by Charlotte Garratt; a dress fit for a princess. Marsha Hall created elegant handmade Victorian boots with tiny blue lace-up buttons to suit this rustic theme.Amanda White, MUA and wedding hair stylist decided on a natural look for Heloise. With a braid at the side of her head to fit the Dutch theme.Triflerabbit provided exquisite vintage headpieces, my favourite one being a collection of vintage Delft Brooches and tiny blue porcelain clogs. Rose & Aster provided a range of jewellery pieces: from strings of navy and pearl coloured beads for a natural earthy look, to more luxurious pieces made with Swarovski crystals.Markdrewfisher shot the behind-the-scene video clip, with amazing footage of Outwood Mill. This is the oldest working corn mill in Britain, built in 1665.No wedding will be complete without a wedding cake or a sweet treat.Delicieux Cakes provided a Dutch themed dessert table filled with heart shaped stroopwafels and pancakes. I also created handpainted Delft Blue biscuits, cute bicycle biscuits and blue velvet cupcakes to suit the theme. Jozi's fudge also added a bit of sweetness. The fudge hearts work perfectly as wedding favours, or serve these little squares of delight with coffee at the end of the wedding feast.To complete this inspiration, I added an adorable blond blue eyed flower girl, Caitlin, and Charlie, a dog who has lived across three continents during his short life.Thanks for every talented team member, and especially for Heloise, Corne, Caitlin and Charlie, our models."
