I Propose | Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

We grew up in the same town, went to the same University and had the same friends. And yet the universe only crossed our paths at the designated time. We met through a mutual friend the night before I flew on vacation to Indonesia. We talked about books, games and all geeky things until 6am in the morning in the rain, as we could not part for one moment. It was difficult getting to know each other the first month as it was mostly through Facebook or when I had internet. Although I was still studying, Herman drove weekend after weekend to come and visit me at University and our love grew faster than a wildfire. After dating for a few months it was clear that we were made for each other and started talking marriage, though Herman only popped the question on month ten.

Bride & Prejudice | Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

Although the day was full of craziness, happiness and a few tears, we decided to share a note and gift with each other to ease the tension. We exchanged notes with the reasons we love each other and want to get married. Herman gave me a "Nemo" soft toy with a little note, "Don't run away, I am watching you". I gave him a gift box filled with treats, energy drinks and a book filled with pictures and notes form our time together. After our special dthat day.

My Fair Wedding | Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

The feel of our wedding was a mirror of both our personalities. We both love nature, openness, muted and natural colours and we don't like over the top décor. So we decided on a Magical Forest Theme (which suited our venue like a glove). Our parents made wooden stumps for the flowers, wooden table number discs and brown string balls. We decided to make use of a decorator, to ensure that the theme was carried throughout the wedding and relieve the extra stress. Our decorator (whom has magic hands and incredible taste) created our vision with décor, and various "bushy" flowers and plant. She even added books as a personal touch.

Don't Tell The Bride | Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

Because we got married outside, wildlife was expected to intervene. Though we did not expect a big beetle to join the wedding party and zoom around our heads. It was difficult to concentrate and listen to the pastor. One of the groomsmen took it upon himself and smacked the beetle to the ground and just stood there as it nothing happened. We could not stop laughing.

No More Wedding Woes | Share your wedding advice for future brides.

Make time for a personal moment for the two of you just after the nuptials. Get help if it is within your budget with the planning and hire a professional photographer (don't skimp, photos are all you have left after the wedding, except for hubby). Use friends with skills where you can (we had a make-up artist, a dress designer) it helps to relieve the stress and you can easily express what you want.
