Ella Simon and Stefano Giulianetti, August 31, 2013, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Exploring Vancouver Island in the summer on Stafano's Vespa during their free time at work is what brought this couple together. "At the end of the summer Stefano kissed me, and then left for a few weeks to Italy. When he got back, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we started dating officially," shares Ella.

Soft colours took centrestage at this wedding paired with thoughtful DIY details. Vintage accents accompanied the decor, making it easy for the bride to incorporate her collection of coloured glass as well as other trinkets she had gathered throughout her life. The ceremony was personalized with readings in mostly English as well as Italian and Polish. After the ceremony, Stefano's vintage Vespa, adorned with balloons, ribbons and tin cans, whisked the couple away to the reception area.

The night finished with a large Italian meal, plenty of dancing, a pizza buffet, and a fireworks display over the lake. "We had the best time being romantic and silly all day," says Ella.
