When the city meets the sea - Vanessa and Thomas married in a beautiful traditional church ceremony and then chose Melbourne's bayside suburb of Sandringham for their celebration. Aparat Photography captured their day - from the beginning to the most golden of golden sunsets. A beautoiful, elegant wedding with plenty of love in each and every moment.

Vanessa starts us off with the story of how she and Thomas came to be! "Thomas and I met in our first year at university, in an accounting tutorial - his most hated subject and my favourite subject. We became great friends before we started dating (6 months later) and 7 years later he finally decided to pop the question!

Vanessa kicked of her day with these incredible heels from Sergio Rossi .

Vanessa's bridesmaids wore black gowns from Zimmermann while Vanessa herself chose a stunning strapless lace gown from Suzanne Harward.

Thomas wore a suit from Godwin Charli with his groomsmen in .

Vanessa and Thomas chose the beautiful St Ignatius, Richmond for their wedding ceremony. Vanessa remarking, "St Ignatius is a grand, cathedral type church based in Richmond, Melbourne. The church is made from bluestone, has high ceilings with a peaked roof, wooden floors and a long aisle. Our priest was Fr Michael Sierakowski from St Peter's in Bentleigh. Fr Michael truly made our ceremony the most entertaining - he is great value. We chose String Musicians (String Quartet) for our ceremony music, which really set the mood."

Vanessa walked down the aisle to the bridal march played by String Musicians.

After the traditional ceremony, Vanessa and Thomas headed bayside for photographs. Of their photographers, Vanessa tells, "Brother and sister team, Jakub and Zosia from Aparat Photography are A-mazing - we called them the "A team" from the first time we met! Their journalistic/documentary style of photography is incredible. The quality of their work, their professional demeanor and the time they dedicated to making sure they captured every single, special moment, on our special day, was truly extraordinary. Our relationship with Jakub and Zosia has grown from what was initially a business relationship to now a special friendship."

Vanessa and Thomas held their reception at Sandringham Yacht Club, hiring Centrepiece by Design to create just the right feel for the occasion. Vanessa explains, "We chose Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) because we just had to have that gorgeous view of the bay from the full-length glass windows and the chef allowed us to alter the menu to suit us.

We chose 'Centrepiece by Design' to style the room at SYC. My dream was to create a room that was like the 'secret garden' and Centrepiece by Design absolutely nailed the look and feel I wanted to create - from the guest seating board which looked like the gates of the secret garden; to the vine like chandelier covered in floristry and candle lights above the dance floor to the tall vine like centerpieces covered in white roses and green foliage with candle lights on every table. Our event manager, and all the staff at SYC, our band (Bluetrain) and most importantly our guests made our night even more perfect than we imagined."

Cakes2Kreate created an all white cupcake tower wedding cake while Victoria Whitelaw created the floral arrangements for the day.

Of their first dance, Vanessa tells, "We danced to Michael Bublé's "Everything" which was played by our band ( ). Thomas and I tried to "wing" the bridal waltz because we thought we had the moves... but we just sort of shuffled around the dance floor... until the button from Thomas's jacket got caught in the lace of my dress which called for our bridal party to join us on the dance floor!"

The couple escaped for more photographs as the golden sun set.

Congratulations on your marriage Vanessa and Thomas! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Aparat Photography for sharing today's stunning wedding with us!
