Creating boho bridal hair and makeup is pure artistry! The art of this look is for understated elegance that looks as though you aren't waring any makeup and you haven't had your hair styled.

This was the brief for the #teamamour shoot in the Loire Valley that you can see on Burnetts Boards, where the team was so lucky to have along expert hair and make up expert Victoria Farr. As well as being a down right lovely lady, Vicki really is a master at creating styled looks and today she is going to share her secrets as to how she created this gorgeous look!

Make Up

We wanted to give the illusion of 'I woke up like this' look to keep in line with the relaxed feel to Kelly's overall styling. I used one of my favourite foundations, which I recommended in my last post on red carpet glamour (see link), YSL Touche Eclait foundation, topped off with a little bit of bronzer and highlighter by Daniel Sandler and a Bourjois rosy pink blush in Rose Eclat on the apples of the cheeks.

For Kelly's eyes, I used two of my go to Mac items; Paint pot in Constructivist all over the lid, which made her beautiful blue eyes pop, blending around the socket to soften and a little along the lower lash line to add some definition, a slick of Blacktraxx liner on the top and finished with a couple of coats of mascara.

I kept the lips minimal with a No 7 lip pencil in Nude and No 7 peachy lip gloss in Happy which complimented Kelly's olive skin tone.

Hair

Kelly's lovely long hair had a gorgeous ombre colour which sat perfectly for this overall boho beachy wave look. I wanted to use minimal product as not to weigh down the hair and to keep it looking 'undone'. Using 2 inch sections of the hair starting at the nape of the neck, I applied a heat setting spray then wrapped each section around a wide barrel tong, making sure the ends were included, for around 20 seconds after which I pinned to allow the curl to set.

Once the full head is done, I left the hair to cool completely and moved onto Kelly's make up. Once cooled, I released the curls from the pins and gently tousled the hair with my fingers to give it that relaxed look, a bit of hair spray to hold the curls and Kelly is good to go!
