mywedding's Bride-to-be Blogger: Meet Elise!

We're so excited to introduce our newest guest blogger, Elise, who is exactly where many of you are - right in the middle of planning a wedding. A part of Google's People Operations department by day and fashion and lifestyle blogger by night, Elise will take us along with her as she begins her wedding planning adventure. We're thrilled to follow along as she navigates the path to "I do."

Hello mywedding brides! I'm so excited to introduce myself as mywedding's new bride-to-be blogger contributor! I'm Elise, and I'm the founder of the fashion and lifestyle blog WTFab. My blog focuses on inspirational yet achievable style, and aims to add a pinch of fab to everyday life. I currently live in San Francisco with my fiancé (and high school sweetheart!), Omied. He's my #1 fan and biggest supporter when it comes to my endeavors with WTFab; and he's also my photographer! When I'm not running around Google's HQ (otherwise known as the Googleplex) during the week, you can usually find me styling shoots for WTFab, brunching in the city with friends, or taking weekend trips to explore nearby parts of California with Omied.

(Side note, how cute is this Feyoncé shirt? Every bride-to-be should have a fun and sassy fiancé top!)

Omied and I met in high school. We were both volunteering for a high school dance that was raising money for the 2004 tsunami victims. We ended up working at the admissions table together and sharing a bag of Doritos. I thought he was cute and sent him a flirtatious Myspace message afterwards, and soon after that we started dating. We dated through college and survived a couple years of long-distance during my graduate school years as well. We moved to San Francisco a few years ago, where I got a job in marketing at a communications agency, and Omied started working as a designer at an architecture firm. Since then I've moved into a role on the People Operations team at Google, and Omied is about to become a licensed architect.

This past April, Omied proposed in Napa while we were celebrating our nine-year anniversary (you can read the full proposal story on my blog) in a sweet and beautiful way (that required months of planning!). I said yes.

I'm so excited to plan our wedding and to have you joining me on this little adventure! So here's to color schemes, DIY's, floral arrangements, engagement photos, and cake flavors. Here's to keeping my bridezilla moments to an acceptable amount that I can count on one hand. And most importantly, here's to marrying the man of my dreams. I'll be covering the wedding planning journey-from the first venue search to saying "I do," and I'm delighted to have you along for the ride!
