Happy Monday Dotties! It's time to dive in for another big week of wedding inspiration! With so many big plans on the go, it's nice to come back to routine and tradition and start the week by recognising something fun!

Monday morning tradition at Polka Dot Bride is to show off the wonderful members of Ms Polka Dot's Directory! We have Stationery & Paper Goods, we have Hair & Beauty, we have Entertainment we even have Bridal Gowns! We focus on building our directory with wedding vendors who love what they do and love creating wedding magic so pop over to Ms Polka Dot's Directory and check out our amazing vendors!

I have often spoken about the value of a wedding planner on Polka Dot Bride and I am no less convinced as time goes by that hiring a wedding planner is a worthy expense when it comes to your vendors.

Our vendor of the week Special Event Planners knows her stuff when it comes to wedding planning without the stress. This Sydney based company (who also cover the South Coast and Southern Highlands) can do everything from complete wedding management (think run sheets, rehearsals, liaising with suppliers) to partial planning or just on the day management. From planning comes creativity and Special Event Planners also have a creative styling team who can assist you in pulling together your design ideas into one cohesive look.

We asked Rhianna from Special Event Planners five questions in five minutes -

What is your favourite after five drink?

A glass (or 3) of red. Unless it's the weekend, in which case I may (more than likely) start before five, and it may (more than likely) be a Caprioska.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Forster. I grew up there. It holds a special place in my heart.

Favourite restaurant?

Husband and I love to eat out, and I have so many faves! I love Yum Cha so we go to Golden Harbour in China town a bit. But when staying local, I can't go past a lunch with the girls at The Lagoon in North Wollongong.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Poached Eggs at The Tin Shed in Thirroul. Unless I'm packing down a wedding in which case it would be a piece of toast whilst running out the door (boring, I know!)

Your favourite wedding story?

Well it's more of a pre wedding story. The lovely groom to be hired me to style and coordinate his wedding proposal. We completely covered the headland of Camp Cove (a special place for the couple) in candlelight and arranged for an acoustic musician to learn the couple's song.

We set up a small table under the candlelit tree, with Moet and strawberries, and hid in the darkness as he led his lady down the lantern lit steps of Camp Cove and into their own little romantic oasis overlooking the city. As they made their way to the table Hein Cooper was playing their song, an awesome acoustic version of This Is It by Michael Jackson. He got down on one knee and popped the question. She said yes, followed by a delightful squeal and a twirl in the arms of her fiancé. It was so beautiful to witness (even if I was just creeping in the shadows).
