Etsy Find of the Week: The Ultimate Bridal Cover-Up

Etsy Find of the Week: The Ultimate Bridal Cover-Up

via

Last week, we started a brand new feature, our Etsy Find of the Week.

(Any excuse to spend more time perusing bespoke wedding dresses and gorgeous stationery!)

We've curated the most awesome haven of all of our very favourite things, on our Bridal Musings Etsy page - and it's growing all the time, with our latest picks from across the site.

And each week, we'll select just one of those beauties, that you guys SIMPLY HAVE TO SEE!

And this week it's all about this utterly covetable, totally stunning, and incredibly versatile bridal cover-up.

Introducing The Chrysler Cape.

This heavenly art deco crystal capelet is the work of one of our favourite Etsy sellers and accessory designers, Gibson Bespoke.

A stunning bridal cover up that would be divine over a plain dress or a strapless gown, is hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals in a geometric design synonymous with the Art Deco era, on fine illusion tulle.

According to Gibson Bespoke, each crystal is individually hand sewn with precise measurements to encapsulate the finest structured symmetric patterns of the decadent 1920s.

At £700, (that's $1100), it ain't cheap, but this is the kind of piece you could pair with a $100 high street wedding dress, have no need for a necklace or earrings, and have the kind of wow factor look that you might pay thousands for in a designer salon.

And you're more likely to wear this piece again, than you are your wedding gown.

(We always find ways of making the things we covet sound economical!)

This is by far, the most expensive piece in Gibson Bespoke's collection - trust us to have this sparkler catch our eye! - so if this is out of your price range, they have lots more equally heavenly cover-ups and unique accessories.

Just check out this beautiful arm candy and this dramatic floor-length train.

We love that this is the sort of piece that would suit an edgy boho bride, someone with an elegant and classic style or a vintage bride with full Gatsby regalia.

I also think it would be just exquisite sparkling next to the water on a beach wedding, or glimmering at night with a candlelit banquet.

Either way, it's all kinds of beautiful - wouldn't you agree?

Please let us know if you wore, or are planning to wear one of Gibson Bespoke's gorgeous pieces on your wedding day - we'd love to see the pics!

Gibson Bespoke are based in Northern Ireland, but ship worldwide (hurray!) and the lead time on accessories is 6-8 weeks.
