5 Amazing Domestic Destination Weddings

5 Amazing Domestic Destination Weddings

via

Not surprisingly, 2014 has already been a big year for destination weddings. Jetsetting is becoming increasingly popular among young adults. Usually when discussing destination weddings, we envision some overseas hotspot. And while international weddings are great, they can also get pretty expensive. So, we've compiled a list of our five favorite wedding locales right here in the USA.

South Walton, FL

This Gulf Coast location is packed with 26 miles of beach, four state parks, and 15 rare coastal dune lakes. With a truly diverse topography, you're sure to find the perfect place for your wedding and you'll undoubtedly land some beautiful wedding photos. Check out Rosemary Beach. It's a charming and quiet spot for you and your guests to celebrate. Some great hotels include The Pearl and The Watercolor Inn & Resort.

New York

Looking to get out of New York City's hustle and bustle for your wedding? You actually don't even need to go that far. Located just outside Manhattan are two turn-of-the-century castles that will surely give you a fairytale moment. You'll still feel far, far away by doing a "mini-destination wedding", and your guests will thank you for having an excuse to get out of the city. The Oheka Castle and the Castle Hotel & Spa are both spectacular options to host your wedding.

Big Sur, CA

It's hard to think of a more humbling and beautiful place than in the midst of the redwoods in Big Sur. You will never regret saying "I do" surrounded by your family, friends, and trees that have been around for over 500 years. Nearby hotels like the Hyatt Big Sur Coast will be able to accommodate your guests should they choose to stay for the whole weekend.

New Orleans, LA

We can't help but notice the increase of wedding traffic in recent years to New Orleans. But, it totally makes sense. The city lives and breathes history, class, celebrations, and (best of all) jazz. Enjoy a gin fizz at the Sazarac Bar and take your party straight to Hotel Monteleone or Le Meridien.

Oahu, HI

Hawaii is not the most groundbreaking wedding destination location, but that doesn't mean it's not amazing. The island of Oahu rivals the more popular areas such as Maui and Kauai by combining all the best features of big northern waves and south beach vibes. The JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa is a favorite amongst wedding planners looking for packaged deals, and the Modern Honolulu is perfect for a posh bride.

With so many amazing places to get married in the US, this was a tough list to make. If you have any other destinations in mind, please share them! Additionally, don't forget to use Jetaport to set up hotel rooms for your guests wherever you get married.
