We're Loving Right Now: Glossy Eye Shadow

If you're like us, the idea of glossy makeup immediately brings up images of glistening lips, right? The concept does not instantly translate to eye shadow. Well, lately we've been seeing glossy eye lids popping up in the beauty world. We enlisted makeup guru Emma Willis of Contour Fossa to show us how to get lovely, glowing eye shadow. The best part of this makeup tutorial is that it's super easy and can easily be achieved in a few minutes or so. So, what are you waiting for? Get to glossin'!

Step 1. Apply an eye primer. For this glossy look, we recommend opting for a shimmery primer like Urban Decay Potion Primer in Sin. Apply a pigmented shadow to the lid. Willis advises using a loose pigmented powder, as it can be blended more naturally into the skin. The makeup pro mixed it up by blending Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eyeshadow Loose Powder Shadow in Breaking Bronze with a little bit of the Pink Rebel shade. MDC Quick Tip: Use a fluffy brush and loose face powder to clean up any fallen shadow pigment.

Step 2. We typically save liner and mascara for last, but for the sake of this glossy-licious look, we are applying it earlier in the game. You don't want lashes sticking to your lids once you've got your gloss on! Apply a thin line of eyeliner to the upper lash line and apply a coat of your fave curling mascara to the lashes.

Step 3. Using the same shadow brush used in step 1, wash a light layer of Vaseline over the lid.
