Wedding dessert tables are pretty much the highlight of the wedding for the guests (not that that the vows weren't beautiful, but nothing beats a good cake pop). Dress up your sweets with decor that coordinates with your wedding's theme to make the table extra pretty.

Rustic

Create tiers and dimension by using wooden crates, wood cuts, and simple ceramic cake plates. Hold candy in clear glass jars and label them in neutral colors. Create a warm glow with simple votives placed throughout the table.

Shabby Chic

Use mismatched vintage china plates atop glass stands to perch your pies and layer cakes. Add tiny touches of whimsy like small bunches of soft flowers or flags in the desserts (below).

Vintage

Nothing goes with shabby chic's French influence like macarons and meringues. Carefully (seriously, they are delicate and easily cracked) stack them in etched glass jars (above) or on a unique vintage table, such as the desk featured below.

It's all about the details with this popular wedding dessert table theme. Use fabrics like lace, burlap, or starched cottons as table runners. Wrap lace ribbons (or bias tape) around votives and uniquely shaped candy jars. For more formal vintage weddings incorporate luxe elements like sheer backdrops behind the table and silver dishes.

Whimsical

For more casual vintage weddings, use fun details like birdcages, retro milk glass dishes, and chalkboard signage. One very unique detail is the moss-lined platters, which along with the tinted Mason jars, gives the table an extra infusion of color.

Monochromatic

Whether your wedding is retro or modern, a whimsically decorated sweet table is so much fun (especially when you have equally unique treats). These donuts below are served on multi-tiered towers and bubblegum pink cake plates. Whimsical decor succeeds when you keep the details lighthearted and playful.

For this Halloween wedding (below), a trick-or-treat candy table was a no-brainer. They used everything from sweet table standards like M&Ms, but also nostalgic faves like Fun Dip and Ring Pops. They also use candy corn as filler to anchor lollipops in jars. Genius!

For those that just love it bright and festive, pick a few fanciful hues and go crazy. Because so much color is in the treats themselves, keep the decor clean and white. Above, the papel picado wall hanging ties all of the colors together.

When your wedding's theme revolves around one color, your dessert table is the perfect place to display some delicious creativity. This pink table (below) includes ombre-frosted cakes, macarons, and fluffy cupcakes. While the powdered donuts are not pink, we have a feeling the guests didn't mind! Again, because there is so much color already on the table, you can keep the decor items basic. They used white cake plates to add varying heights, a simple pink table runner, and mercury-glass votives for a little romantic light.
