New York Fashion Week: On the Runway with Tadashi Shoji

We're thrilled to have former Miss USA Nana Meriwether as our behind-the-scenes expert at New York Fashion Week! This week, Nana is sitting in some of the most coveted seats at New York Fashion Week where she will take you up close and personal with your favorite fashion designers. First up, Tadashi Shoji | Spring 2015.

Tadashi Shoji created a powerful Spring line that exudes a simple, flowing style that gives his classically styled clothes a perfect modern twist.

Shoji has a way with playing with proportions that flatter the body (especially in the crop top separates above) in the best way. Best known for his evening wear, he certainly didn't disappoint with this flowing black gown.

Taking a more daring turn, this next number is not for the modest gal. Shoji's generous use of lace and overlays were kicked up a notch in this stunning see through dress.

Similar to his line last year, Tadashi delivered a collection of delicate dresses and separates made of lace and organza in frosted - but not exactly pastel - candy colors.

As demonstrated below, this runway show is all about proportions, lace and free flowing fabric.

And then there are the stripes. Long and slimming, these two gowns really capture the elegance of Tadashi's Spring 2015 line.
