5 Fall 2014 Makeup Trends

There's big drama coming off the runways in NYC, and it's all about the makeup trends. From rich colors to luxe beauty, not all of these looks transfer easily to your wedding aisle. But we've picked 5 fall 2014 makeup trends that are perfect for your bridal look, whether you want all-natural beauty or complete glam!

Twiggy-Inspired Lashes

Calling all retro brides! Twiggy's famous eyelashes are back in style. With loads of mascara on carefully separated lashes on the top and bottom, this trend will open and brighten up your eyes. If you go for this look, it pairs best with a simple, nude lip. When it comes to mascara, we love Mally's Volumizing Mascara.

Big, Defined Brows

Full brows are totally in right now, so tweeze carefully! These brows are well-groomed and defined, with the help of an eyebrow pencil and brush. Everyone (even the ladies with naturally large brows) needs a little fill-in here and there to achieve the best shape to frame their face. Use light, feathery strokes to replicate the look of natural hair and then brush through to blend. We're huge fan of Anastasia brows around here-we're addicted to their Perfect Brow Pencil!

Natural, Glowy Cheeks

To get this season's blush right, check out how you look after a walk around the block. Rosy? Honeyed? Find a blush that mirrors your cheeks' natural flush in a shade that complements your skin tone. Run the blush brush along your cheek bones-don't only focus on the apples of your cheeks. Our favorite blushes are from Nars, which has a shade for everyone!

Jewel-Toned Drama

Jewel tones are practically an autumn staple when it comes to makeup trends. And from emerald eyes to deep, ruby lips they were all over 2014′s runways. Make this statement your own by using a deep berry or ruby lip instead of that Taylor Swift-inspired red you've been considering. When it comes to a variety of great, rich lipsticks, no one does color-drenched drama like MAC.

Smoky Eyes (in anything but black)

We've all had fun for the last several years perfecting the smoky eye in black and charcoal. But this season, it is all about using different earth tones, particularly brown and light gray. It's the best of both worlds for brides: subtle color mixed with attention-getting techniques. Bobbi Brown, queen of all-things neutral, offers a bunch of different products to achieve this look.
