Save money on your flowers

1. Get flowers that are in season. Not only are out-of-season flowers more expensive, but they aren't as fresh because they have to be transported from elsewhere. Ask your florist what flower options you have that will be in season. If you want top notch fresh flowers try to source locally.

2. Keep it simple. For your reception, switch out big extravagant centerpieces for bud vases that hold one or two stems each. You can achieve a stunning look by creating a line of them on a rectangular table or bunching a few of them together on a round table.

3. But...think big! Use large blooms that take up more space without skimming on prettiness! These giant posies will take up more surface area while helping you shrink your budget. We love the large blooms used in the bouquet below created by Lovely Little Details and captured by Stacey Hedman.

4. Go Faux. Fake flowers aren't for everyone but who says you have to go with silk flowers? We have seen some amazing flowers created out of book pages, newspaper, buttons, ribbon, vintage brooches, you name it! Still cute and unique for a fraction of the cost.
