Fall is approaching and that means there's a whole slew of new beauty trends coming your way. We talked to Anthea King, makeup artist at Tracey Mattingly in New York City about how you can rock these hot new looks on your wedding day. Here are some of our favorites:

The Look: "The best way to achieve doll lashes is with a strip lash (read: faux lashes). Look for ones that have defined, medium-length lashes. It takes some practice, but you should be able to get them on after a few tries," says King, "A cuticle stick works wonders to help apply glue. Nudge the lash into the root once on."

Not a fan of faux lashes? Layer on a volumizing and lengthening mascara for a full, fluttery effect.

The Tools: Strip Eyelashes, $16, Make Up For Ever; Outrageous Curl Mascara, $15, Sephora; Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara, $29, Dior; Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll, $30, YSL

The Look: King recommends doing your smokey eye before the rest of your makeup. "Clean up any fallen powders and smudges before applying your foundation. That way, you don't disturb the rest of your makeup." she says. Stick with soft earth-toned shadows (like beige and brown) for a more subtle, everyday and wedding-ready look.

The Tools: Smokey Nudes Eye Palette, $65, Bobbi Brown; Smart Liner, $14, Sephora

The Look: "Metallics are great for adding a pretty sheen, but go too heavy and you'll end up looking like you stepped out of the 80's," says King. "Keep it sheer on the lips, cheeks and eyes."

The Tools: Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette, $54, Urban Decay; Sheer Lipstick in Señorita, $26, NARS

The Look: "Draw the shape of the cat eye you want (line the lid first before you tackle the flick) and don't worry too much about making mistakes. Then to sharpen and correct, use a pointed q-tip and remover to make it the shape you want." says King. You can use gel, liquid or pencil liner -- a thicker line will have a bolder effect, while a thin line create a more subtle look. This is a great look for a bride with a vintage, glam style or if you want to add some drama to your wedding look.

The Tools: Artliner 24h, $31, Lancôme; Creme Eye Liner, $24, Laura Mercier; Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, $20, Stila

The Look: "Bold and bright color is great in one part of the face -- normally eyes or lips. An aqua liner just on top of the eye or a fuchsia lip are timeless and chic!"

The Tools: Wink Eye Pencil in Inky Six, $18, Butter London; Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in Soft Fuchsia, $20, Make Up For Ever

The Look: "This is a pretty and bold statement," says King. "Play around with pencils, powders and gels for the brows. I suggest using a pencil to gently fill in the brow to get the shape you want and a powder to lightly go over it. This helps the brow from looking too severe. Pick a lipstick in a berry shade you like and blot along lips to create a stain effect. By playing around with your technique, you can achieve several different looks," says King.

The Tools: Le Rouge in Deep Raspberry Pink, $36, Givenchy; Brow Powder Duo, $23, Anastasia Beverly Hills; Brow Stylist Sculptor, $9, L'Oreal

The Look: "For super natural looking makeup, it's all about beautiful, glowing skin! Cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing (try a mask for your skin type) is key, as is a foundation or tinted moisturizer that perfectly (or almost perfectly) matches your skin tone," says King. A light dusting of blush applied at the apples of your cheeks will give you a healthy, rosy flush and a nude lip, a shade darker than your natural color will define lips while still feeling fresh and natural. King also suggests spritzing your face with mineral water like Avene after applying makeup for extra glow.

The Tools: Velvet Blush, $35, Illamasqua; Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, $42, NARS; Luminizing Moisture Tint, $38, Jouer; Thermal Spring Water Spray, $12, Avène
