For some of us there is nothing more romantic than being on the water! Michelle and Matt took to Lake Macquarie with photographer James Goff for their engagement shoot citing, "Matt absolutely loves sailing, and has raced yachts for many years. We both think Warners Bay is absolutely beautiful, and had the most relaxing afternoon sailing around the bay and watching the sunset."

On how they met, Michelle and Matt remember , "Shell was hanging out at Matt's place with his house mate and a bunch of friends. When Matt came home, he remembers his house mate standing around with a bunch of girls all in their bikinis. Whilst Shell admits they had just come from the beach, she insists they must have been wearing other clothes. Matt offered us glasses of water, but decided to flick some water on Shell. Being on the competitive side, Shell took that as a challenge, and took her glass of water and poured it over Matt. To this day, Shell still wins most water fights."

On what they love about one another, the two lovebirds note, "We love that we both share our greatest love - Jesus Christ. We are both Christians, and having Jesus at the centre of our relationship is so important to both of us. We also love that we're best friends - we genuinely enjoy each others company and love hanging out with each other. Shell loves Matt's sense of humour, his commitment to carefully think things through, and the fact he looks like Hugh Jackman. Matt loves Shell's love for other people and her joy."

Just like their photos, the proposal also took place around the water! Michelle and Matt remember, "Matt took Shell out to breakfast, and then had told her we're going on a picnic. We drove to Rose Bay, and Matt seemed to be in quite a rush, but Shell had no idea why. She wasn't feeling hungry yet, so didn't feel the need to get to the picnic spot quickly! To Shell's absolute surprise, the reason why Matt was rushing was because he had booked a trip on a seaplane for them. Matt says it's the only time Shell has been speechless. The seaplane took us from Rose Bay, up around Sydney Harbour and the Northern Beaches, and flew into the Hawksbury. We were dropped off at a little beach, where Matt set up a picnic, and pulled out a little book he had written for Shell. At the end of the book it asked on important question... Matt pulled out a ring and Shell, still quite shocked, said yes!"
