How to: The Autumn Ombre Lip

Oh, the colors of fall. Deep reds, earthy browns, vibrant plums and rustic oranges. These shades are soothing to our soul this time of year. So many of them make for the most lovely of pouts that it can be tough to choose just one shade. But why choose? With this stunning version of the ombré lip, you can wear several fall hues at once! Here to show you how to land an autumn lip that works for any occasion is our fabulous makeup artist, Alana Dawn.

Step 1. Line your pout with a burgundy-colored pencil like Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Wine, and shade in the corners of your lips.

Step 2. Using a flat lip brush, gently blend in a reddish-toned lipstick such as Lancôme Rouge in Love in 185N Rouge Valentine, leaving the center of your lips only slightly tinted - this is where the color will appear the lightest!

Step 3.
To really create the depth and contrast of a true ombré, apply Giorgio Armani Rouge Ecstasy in Hot to the outer corners where you initially shaded in with the lip pencil. To give the look an extra POP, Alana added a touch of deep plum eye shadow to the corners as well!

Step 4.
Complete your autumn ombré by applying a multi-functional concealer and brightener like NYX Wonder Pencil to the corners and all around your lips to perfect lines and prevent color from bleeding!
