Here at MDC, we're always on the lookout for top-of-the-line beauty gurus to share advice on hair, makeup and skin care. Today, we are thrilled to have nail expert Kait Mosh share her unique ideas on how to get simple, yet edgy nails. Take it away Kait!

Supplies:
● Rubbing alcohol
● Acetone
● Base coat like essie First Base
● Nude/beige nail polish (I love essie Sand Tropez)
● Black nail art-specific polish like Orly Instant Artist Paint in Black
● Top coat (I used Seche Vite)

Step 1. Start with clean, manicured nails. Wipe them with alcohol e to remove any excess oil or dirt.

Step 2. Paint on your base coat.

Step 3. Apply two coats of your nude beige shade.

Step 4. Dip a small cleanup brush (or Q-Tips Precision Tips) into acetone and carefully remove the polish only on the half-moons at the base of the nail.

Step 5. Take your black polish and line the half-moon. Allow five minutes to dry -- we don't want to smudge the lines!

Step 6. Finish with your top coat and don't forget to moisturize your nails with cuticle oil!
