5 Etsy Finds for a Halloween Wedding

Happy Halloween everybody!

We hope you guys are having a good one, and have lots of tricks, treats and fun planned for the weekend ahead?

Elizabeth and I were chatting this morning about how we don't tend to think of weddings and Halloween as something that necessarily go together.

But when it comes to fall weddings, lots of couples like to pay homage to spooky season, whether it's with jack-o-lanterns and sugar skulls, or gothic stylish and moody colours, it can be fun, atmospheric, and maybe even romantic!

Print by Fine and Dandy Paperie

So instead of our usual Etsy Find of the Week, we decided to celebrate the day that's in it, by bringing you five picks instead, each one perfect for a Halloween-inspired wedding celebration.

So whether you're going all out in a black wedding gown until death do you part, or just having some fun with an orange and black colour palette, check out our finds for a ghoulishly good wedding.

The Invitation

Okay, so these printables by Fine and Dandy Paperie might be for a Halloween party, but there's no reason you couldn't customise it for your wedding.

You just send on the text you want to include and once it's ready you don't need to wait for the invites in the post, as you can simply print them at home, or with your local or online printer. Perfect for playing around with different paper weights.

Isn't it lovely? While I love a luxurious invitation, sometimes fun, simple ones are so much cooler.

The Cake Topper

Til Death Do Us Part might be a morbid expression, but it is an integral line of the classic wedding vows and a important part of the commitment you're making when you walk down the aisle. And while most couples decide not to dwell on it, if you're planning a Halloween wedding, this cool cake topper would be a fun nod to the phrase.

Made by Oregon-based Silhouette Weddings (who sell all manner of unique cake toppers in their Etsy shop), this one comes in 26 colours so you can match it to any theme. They've also got also got a Frankenstein and his Bride topper, which we're equally obsessed with!

The Favours

Having a nod to Halloween on your wedding day doesn't mean you need to go with dark orange, purple and black hues. With everyone obsessed with Dia De Los Muertos sugar skulls these days, we thought these pretty skull cookies by The Frosted Petticoat would make such a sweet idea for a Halloween-style wedding favour with a difference.

The Frosted Petticoat have an extensive collection of bone-inspired goodies, from a Day of the Dead chocolate bride, to entire edible skull cake toppers. Now that's our kind of scary!

The Flower Girls

Not sure you're ready to walk down the aisle in a dramatic gothic gown? Why not dress the little ones in black instead? We just love these moody tutus by Little Dreamers Inc.

Another Oregon-based shop, Little Dreamers create the prettiest tulle skirts and dresses, and these adorable black dresses with gold details would be just perfect for a Halloween-themed celebration, don't you think?

The Flower Crown

Another chic way to toast Halloween on your wedding day, without going full-on gothic glam, is to wear a gorgeous flower crown with a dark twist.

From a deep red to a shadowy grey - or even entirely black like this cool crown from Fairy Ring Shop - we think this is a stylish way to make a spooky statement.

Do let us know if you've got any scarily good ideas for a Halloween-themed bash.
