Halloween Wedding Sweets & Treats

The best part about a Halloween wedding? The sugar, of course! You can keep all of your creepy masks and fake blood, for me, Halloween is all about the delicious treats. And at a wedding, the sweets are guaranteed to be that much greater! Above, this very chic black and white sweet table celebrates the holiday with bat toppers and mini-pumpkins. If you are planning on having a sweet table/candy bar serve as your favors, let guests box up their stash in modern version of trick-or-treats bags (below).

Whether you are having a Halloween wedding or bridal shower, these simple recipes will delight your crowd. Above, if you don't want all of your guests to sport caramel on their faces throughout the reception, skip the traditional caramel apples and opt for a cookie bar with the same flavors.

If you are anything like me, you overbought in the candy department. Serve your guests the bounty of the leftovers in brownies or cookies, like these chocolate chip Twix cookies below.

Go elegant with a candy bar cake like the burnt sugar topped one below. Dusted with pecans and filled with delicious ingredients, it's a chic spin on Halloween. Or use candy to make, well, more candy. This chocolate bark (below, right) is topped with nuts, peanut butter cups, and M&Ms. The sugar crash at the end of the night is going to be brutal, but totally worth it.

If your Halloween affair is a bit more rustic and nostalgic, these desserts will blend in beautifully. Above, the best fall flavors, pumpkin and caramel, are combined in this "mug" pie (which provides all the filling without that pesky crust). Instead of mugs, you could also serve this in glass jam jars. And just when you thought caramel apples were sweet enough, it turns out you were wrong. These deadly confections (below) also feature a peanut butter fudge filling. Yowzer!

To really charm your guests, make homemade candy classics like Tootsie Rolls or Peppermint Patties. It's a grown-up version of your childhood favorite.
