Here in Europe, we carry about alternative and free source of energy to heat our houses or working space. That's why people are searching new possibilities all the time. There are hundreds of different DIY, passive solar air collector plans ideas, but I paid my attention to one of them that incorporates recycled aluminum pop, beer or juice cans. Daniel on 'Hemmings Daily', inspired by his father idea, showed us how to turn empty aluminum cans into solar which collects and transfers the sun's energy into his garage. This solar space heater design is easy to do, and using step by step instruction you can make it on your own.

To make your panel more effective, paint old soda cans to increase the surface area, and use double-glazed glass or polycarbonate panels!
