Romantic Pastel Pink Wedding in St. Tropez

Romantic Pastel Pink Wedding in St. Tropez

Happy Friday lovelies!

Today we're taking a trip to the French Riviera, for Hoa-Mi & Guillaume's stunning St. Tropez wedding.

Their luxe meets whimsical nuptials were captured by Iwona Paczek, of Mon Conte de Fees Photography.

Have your Pit It button ready, because these pictures are pretty beautiful.

An elegant reception overlooking the sea, (with an exquisite menu!), Hoa-Mi & Guillaume's day was littered with soft pink and white hues, from the flower centrepieces to the candy jars. Chic antler adornments brought a rustic feel to the decor, with lots of pretty DIY features from Hoa-Mi herself.

But among all the pretty details, the centrepiece of this beautiful wedding was of course our couple. Guillaume, dapper in black tie and Hao-Mi, stunning in a delicate Elie Saab for Pronovias wedding dress with sparkling Jimmy Choo heels.

A perfectly stylish couple, one of Europe's most glamorous settings and a day that was fun, romantic and chic.

We think you're going to like this one... a lot!

Our Wedding in Three Words

The Dresses (and the Shoes!)

For myself, I had an off-white wedding gown with magnificent handwork on the back, and sequinned beige Jimmy Choo sandals with heel protectors from Heels Above. These were an absolute must for walking on the cobblestones in front of the church, as well as on the restaurant patio. They were also given as party favors to all the women wearing stiletto heels. The bridesmaids were dressed in vintage pink dresses with a floral tiara. It was important to find a dress that flattered all four bridesmaids and that they found pretty. Our two daughters were dressed in the prettiest pastel pink Tartine & Chocolat dresses with floral tiaras.

The Ceremony

The church in Ramatuelle is at the entrance of a picturesque medieval village.

When we walked out of this small, but extremely romantic church, our guests tossed lavender bulbs, which were not only pretty, but perfumed the air!

The Photography & Videography

We chose Mon Conte de Fees because of her discrete photojournalist style, and her eye for details. We chose Grenier de Marie for their gorgeous photobooth pictures with fun props, and their video that resembles a pop music video.

The Location

Guillaume and I met in Belgium, but we wanted to get married in St Tropez, where we have a summer house. St Tropez was a great choice because we were sure that the weather would be perfect, and there was a multitude of housing options for our guests who flew in from all over the world.

The Reception

We chose the Viviers du Pilon after falling in love with its location, its minimalist contemporary decor, and its stunning view. We did not want to over-decorate and wanted our guests to focus on the setting and enjoy all the activities. After the dinner, videos and speeches, 30 sky lanterns were launched in the air, and the scene was breathtaking. We had a photobooth set up for our guests while a girlfriend crooned a mix of pop, soul and jazz on a grand piano.

Throughout the rest of the evening, a DJ and two singers maintained the energy level high and the dance floor full.

Regarding the decor, I was greatly inspired from wedding blogs and preferred to do everything myself. A lot was DIY, the ceremony booklets, table menus and bar menus, table numbers, butterfly name cards, the dinner seating arrangement poster and the candy bar decoration. The overall color palette was shades of pink, cream and silver. The floral arrangements were composed of locally grown roses, and our party favors were jars of Laduree rose jam in pretty pastel pink Laduree boxes, so our guests could take home a quintessentially French souvenir. I also added deer antlers to the decor, since my husband is a passionate hunter and I wanted to add a personal touch.

The Decor & Details

Champagne was served during the cocktail hour, then we had a formal sit-down dinner. The appetizer was a summer lobster salad with olive oil aroma, for main course, we had roasted sea bass in rosemary jus with asparagus and lemon risotto, then our Le Notre wedding cake, almond cake with meringue smooth black chocolate mousse & meringue with almonds craquelin and nougatine cream.

The Refreshments

Processional: Canon - Pachelbel Recessional: Wedding March - Mendelssohn Father/Daughter Dance: Sleeping Beauty Waltz First Dance: We had a choreographed dance. It first started out slowly with Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World. Then switched to CC Factory's Every Body Now, and MC Hammer's Can't Touch This.

The Music

I have been to several weddings that I found quite monotonous (same format: long speeches and a picture slideshow). I wanted a fun party with people dancing on tables (or wanting to) throughout the evening! Overall, my husband and I can say that our wedding was the most beautiful day of our lives! The setting was gorgeous, the ambiance was full of energy, people were crying and laughing, and everybody had fun!

Favourite Moments

Isn't it beautiful? I love how the light is almost pink in those dreamy sunset shots, they tie in so well with the hues from the rest of the wedding. It's so nice to see a softer, romantic side to lavish St. Tropez too.
