DIY Hair Accessories: Pearl Hairpins

DIY Hair Accessories: Pearl Hairpins

Besides the dress your hair may be one of the most important elements for your wedding day look. A hair accessory can add a little pizzazz to any hairstyle. Slip these pearl hairpins into an up-do or pulling your for a half -up elegant look.

Step 1: Cut your wire to fit your beads and a little extra to tie at the end. My wire was about 3 1/2 inches long, and left plenty of room to tie.

Step 2: String your beads onto the wire. Place a tiny amount of super glue to one side of the stringed bead, and hold the beads together for a few seconds. Then repeat with the next beads. The glue will hold the beads together for extra stability.

Step 3: Wrap one end of the wire to the end of the bobby pin and tie. Place the beads along the top of your pin, pull the wire tight, and tie securely.

Step 4: Cut excess wire.

Step 5: Set aside to dry the glue.

Step 6: Place in your hair to complete your look!

This hair accessory is a simple way to add a DIY touch to your wedding style. It's time-savvy, only taking about 10 minutes for two and you can wear again. You will probably have plenty of supplies leftover for matching jewelry. (This may be a hint for a post later this month.)

I would love to know what style you have in mind for your hair. Are you using accessories to take your wedding hair up a notch?
