Would anyone like a cake tutorial? Hehe.

Morning :-)

What a week! My lovely G turned 30 on Tuesday, so we had a little family do last Sunday and I treated him to a pub lunch on his birthday. He so deserves it all and more, he is not only my bestest friend but is the most amazing daddy to our two boys. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY G!!! Hehe. I also whipped up a GF sponge cake for the birthday boy with the help of my sister and A last Saturday. It got eaten up so it couldn't have tasted too bad ;-)

We had a series of power cuts over the weekend too, so we went a bit old school with the fire on and candles lit. It was really cosy, I must light our candles more often. Plus it made me realise just how much we rely on electricity and technology. Sometimes you have to see the silver lining right?

This weekend I have a baby shower party (YAY) and our town's Christmas lights get switched on. I have made a good start on the Christmas shopping now too.... phew. I can't wait for baby W's first Christmas. I just purchased him the cutest fox baby booties and the obligatory reindeer outfit to embarrass in years to come. A has been singing Christmas songs around the house in preparation for his nativity play, so sweet! Now to plan some festive outings with the boys. I can't WAIT! Any suggestions?
