Travel Inspired Colorful Wedding

Ron and Des said their I do's in the gardens of beautiful Campovida in northern California. Surrounded by their friends, family, and beautiful vines, this couple celebrated in style with some very unique and thoughtfully creative details.

The day was tied together with a travel theme so maps, globes, and suitcases abound in the cutest ways possible! Take your own trip through this travel inspired colorful wedding and don't forget to stop in the full gallery here, captured by A Guy + A Girl Photography.

Travel-themed decor

Check out the sweet vintage bridesmaids dresses and train cases (part of their "travel/journey" wedding theme), the letter lapel pins on the groomsmen, the wedding favor packaging, the table settings, the chalk board maps of the grounds, the globe/vintage book stack/floral centerpieces, the cocktail hour props, the paper airplane escort cards- it was endless! During the reception, Ron surprised the crowd by guest-scratching a few records while Des took over the dance floor. Things got wild- it was quite a night!

Brides advice on choosing a dress

Spend some time alone to reflect and try to see things before your guests begin to file in. Our amazing planners provided us the opportunity to see our reception before guests had begun to take their seats and it was absolutely mind-blowing, just completely gorgeous and exactly what we had hoped for. If you had the chance to create DIY projects, go observe them, see how much people appreciate all the little details, really see how it all comes together! Choose a dress that you feel comfortable wearing throughout the day and is agreeable with the activities of this one hectic day - frantically walking place to place, posing for photos, dancing and dropping it like it's hot! I had an A-line dress that was free-flowing, composed of lightweight fabrics and, above all, comfortable!
