Here I am again. My last post was all about 'cat do's' so this time I am getting back on track with wedding, wedding, wedding. The big day is 15 days, 16 hours and 4 minutes away according to my countdown app, so it's getting pretty damn close *excited shriek*. So what have I been doing? Getting stuff organised is the short answer. So we have sorted out the dreaded table plan, a lovely shop from Etsy called "idoityourself" has provided us with an aeroplane style seating plan, we just emailed the information and they collaborated it for us then it was a quick trip to the printers. A top tip from me would be to CHECK YOUR SPELLING as I embarrassingly spelt a family members name wrong throughout the whole process but luckily my Dad caught the error in the time and it didn't make it to print with the error, phew. We have decided to name our tables after cities that we have visited as we are keen travellers and it is a shared interest of ours. The name cards were also from Etsy and are luggage label style, I then had to cut these to shape once printed, punch a hole in them and string them up on organza ribbon. Although they look fabulous it took a lot more time than I anticipated so I am glad that I have done these now rather than leaving them to the last minute.

Another craft project that I have been working on is making signs out of a wooden pallet. Basically one of my friends did this and I thought it was pretty cool. My mum can vouch that pallets are pretty hard to deconstruct as she did the manual labour and I got to do the pretty bit. Once the pallet was taken apart we made some stencils and painted the letters onto the sign. This was then nailed together and I loved it so much I just had to do a second one. The first sign is going to be at the end of the drive at the venue and I thought that it would be cool to have another one in the courtyard rather than send some poor soul down the drive to man handle it back up. So now we have two signs and the latter has some rustic bunting attached to the bottom and even hooks to attach balloons to as we have ordered some K and J balloons as we think they will look pretty cool.

I have 'got my stencil on' yet again as I have bought an old apple crate from the local town to use as a receptacle for the props that I have been accumulating over recent months for the Photo Booth. I have even branched out and stencilled on a moustache, lips and glasses onto the box. I figured that the signs can decorate my garden... or get burned on the inlaw's fire at Christmas and the crate can be used to put things in at home or turned upside down and fashioned into a table so hopefully they will live on in some form after the wedding.

In final crafting chatter I started thinking about photography on the day, which led me to consider the pre getting ready shots, you know, of the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses all hung up and looking pretty. Well, as an owner of mainly manky hangers I thought that it would be nice to have some more photogenic hangers for the dresses. Who wants to see their frock on just any hanger, even if it is an M&S hanger? Again I think this could be a bit Bridezilla of me but the little details are important, right? *seeks reassurance that I am not a diva*. Anyhow, after some googling of hangers on offer it became apparent that they are a tad pricey and a tad naff. Fear not, with a quick consultation on Youtube Mum found a Martha Stewart step by step process to create your own. After buying a pack of 6 hangers for £4.50 we raided the sewing box of spare fabric at home and got to it. This time I did the behind the scenes of sewing wadding around the hangers and mum got to do the pretty decorating bit. I am pretty chuffed with how these have turned out and am looking forward to displaying the frocks in all their glory on their shiny, squishy new hangers.

In fashion news, my mum surprised me with some dancing shoes, as although my daytime shoes are absolutely gorgeous, they are also pretty high so I doubt that they will make it much past the official photos and the first dance. She has got me some personalised converse which are pretty sexy. It would appear that I am awkward individual as when she covertly tried to find out my size by getting Mr C to check my existing converse I have some in a 4 and some in a 5 ... I don't know why. Luckily they fit perfectly and I am looking forward to shaking my thing and grooving on the dance floor in them. I have also picked up my wedding dress as it fits like a glove, I love, love, love it and can't wait to wear it and twirl around.... and twirl some more. My dress got to ride the tube like a true Londoner and now it is safely hanging up in deepest darkest Nottinghamshire awaiting its début.

The last thing that we have organised in music, some friends got married in August and they had a lovely playlist in the background which got us thinking 'oops we haven't sorted anything out', well we now have over 100 songs on our Spotify playlist and keep adding to it.

Well this is going to be my final farewell as a non-married woman as I am very nearly going to be a MRS eeeeeekkk
